The UroLift® system is a minimally-invasive procedure used for the treatment of prostate enlargement, or benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It is considered to be a revolutionary system, as no heating, cutting or tissue removal is required. It works by placing a very small implant within the prostate to hold open the prostate lobes, allowing the enlarged prostate to decompress and decrease in size. Usually, only a local anaesthesia is required and patients can return home on the same day.
