Child neurology, also known as paediatric neurology, is the specialty of neurology that is responsible for the prevention, the study, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system in children from birth to adolescence. Among the neurological disorders that affect infants and teenagers treated by this area of medicine, the most common are: cerebral palsy, epilepsy, speech and learning disorders, attention deficit disorder and hyperactivity, sleep disorders, motor disorders (convulsions, tics), psychomotor developmental delays, impaired breathing (apnoea or twitching), perceptual disorders (dizziness, headache).
