Epiduroplastia is an effective and minimally invasive imaging of potential problems or conditions present within the backbone system. It involves inserting a catheter and a small video camera into the spinal column. The image of the nerves and fibrotic tissue is obtained with the camera or through fluoroscopy. An anti-inflammatory drug can also be injected through the catheter. This serves as an appropriate treatment for inflammation of the vertebrae, back pain or chronic cases of narrowing of the spinal canal. It is a painless procedure that does not require hospitalisation.
