Egg donation is the procedure of giving eggs, anonymously and altruistically, to help women who wish to have a child and cannot for different reasons. The requirements to be able to donate are to be between 18 and 34 years old, be in good health, be free of sexually transmitted or hereditary disease and have legal capacity to grant authorization. Prior to performing this procedure, the patient must undergo a medical check-up to assess physical health status, with a medical examination that takes into account family history, and a gynaecological, and psychiatric examination.
